How the games work

What decides each result, what the games return over time, and what we deliberately left out.

Where results come from

Every reel position, card and roulette pocket is drawn in your own browser using its built-in cryptographic random number generator, the same source browsers use for security keys. The draw happens when you press. Animations that follow only show the outcome; they never change it, and there is no slowing down of reels to suggest that a result was close.

Each round stands alone

No game remembers previous rounds. A long run without a bonus does not make one more likely, and a recent bonus does not make the next one less likely. Shuffled card games use a fresh deck for each hand of video poker and three-card play; blackjack uses a six-deck shoe that is reshuffled when it runs low.

What the games return

Over many thousands of rounds, the reel games return about 94 to 97 per cent of points staked. Video poker and blackjack return more when played with the strategy described on their pages, and single-zero roulette returns 97.3 per cent on every bet. We measured the reel games with long simulations of the exact code you play. Over a single session results swing widely in both directions.

What we left out

  • No autoplay, no turbo and no skipping of results.
  • No messages that celebrate a return smaller than your stake. If you stake 100 and get 40 back, the game says "40 back from 100".
  • No countdowns, expiring rewards or reasons to return at a particular time.
  • No invented players, feeds or social proof.
  • No purchases of any kind, and no real money in or out.

Points and real money

Points have no cash value and no prizes of monetary value are offered. Because the games share their maths with real-money games, it is worth saying plainly: playing or success here does not imply future success at real-money gambling.

Questions about a result

If something looked wrong, tell us the game, the time and what you saw through our contact page. Because results are drawn in your browser we cannot replay them, but we will check the game's code and reply.
