A clock you can see: how the session reminder works
Every game page now shows how long you have been playing and can tap you on the shoulder at an interval you choose.
Time is the easiest thing to lose track of in any game with a quick rhythm. Reels stop in under two seconds and a hand of video poker takes five, so an evening can disappear in what feels like ten minutes. We wanted the plaza to make time visible rather than hide it.
The session card
On every game page, next to the stage, there is a session card. It shows how long the page has been open, how many rounds you have played since you arrived and the change in your points over that time — up or down, in plain numbers. It does not reset when you move to another game in the same visit, because the time you spend is yours, not the game's.
The reminder
In your Locker you can switch on a reminder every 15, 30 or 60 minutes. When it comes due, play pauses and a short message tells you how long you have been here, with two buttons: carry on, or take a break. Taking a break closes the game and takes you to our page about playing well. The reminder is off until you choose an interval, and you can change it at any time.
What we left out
There are no countdowns on Cubrevia: nothing expires, nothing is waiting for you at midnight and there is no reason to come back at a set hour. There is no autoplay and no turbo mode either; every round starts with a press. We think those choices matter more than any reminder, and the reminder is there for the moments they do not cover.
